We collect this information when you provide it to us directly — for example, when you register for an event, class, or program on our website, or contact us. If you contact us directly, we may also receive the contents of your message and any attachments you choose to send.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Register you for events, classes, and programs you sign up for
  • Send you reminders and notifications about events you have registered for
  • Provide, operate, and maintain our website
  • Respond to your questions and provide customer support
  • Send you emails related to your registrations and our services
  • Send you email updates and promotional emails about our programs and, occasionally, offers from partners we think may interest you. These partner offers are sent by us — we do not give partners access to your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
  • With your consent, send you text messages — including event reminders and notifications, and recurring promotional or marketing messages about our programs, events, and products. See “SMS / Text Messaging” below for details and how to opt out. We never share your phone number with third parties for their marketing.
  • Protect the security and integrity of our website and services

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. We may share your information with vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf — such as our SMS platform provider, solely for the purpose of delivering the text messages you have opted in to receive, and our email and website hosting providers. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and are prohibited from using your information for any other purpose, including their own marketing.
  • Advertising partners (website browsing data only). If we use advertising or retargeting services, cookies and similar technologies on our website may share browsing data and device identifiers with advertising partners, as described in “Website Analytics and Advertising” below. This never includes your name, email address, phone number, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.

For clarity, and notwithstanding anything else in this Privacy Policy: mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and text messaging consent are never shared with third-party advertising partners, ad networks, affiliates, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS / Text Messaging

This section describes our text messaging program and applies to all mobile phone numbers and text messaging opt-in data we collect. Our full SMS terms are available at https://awakenedhealthacademy.com/sms-terms/.

What the program is. When you register for an event or program through Awakened Health Academy and provide your mobile phone number with your consent, we send you text messages that include reminders and notifications about the events you have signed up for, as well as recurring automated promotional and personalized marketing messages about our programs, events, and products. You will only receive marketing text messages if you have given your prior express written consent, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

How you opt in. Consent is collected on our event registration forms, where you provide your phone number and check a box agreeing to receive text messages from us. Providing your phone number and consenting to receive text messages is optional and is not a condition of registering for any event or program, or of making any purchase.

No sharing of mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, except for aggregators and providers of the text message services that enable us to deliver messages to you. We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise transfer your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent to any third party, affiliate, ad network, or lead generator for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign.

Message frequency. Messages are recurring, and message frequency varies based on the events you register for and our program updates. You can opt out at any time.

Rates. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile service provider for details.

Opt-out. You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you. We will send a one-time message confirming your opt-out, after which you will receive no further texts from us. You may also opt out by emailing us at info@awakenedcollective.com; we will process your request promptly.

Help. For help, reply HELP to any message we send you, or contact us at info@awakenedcollective.com.

Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Non-transferability of consent. Your consent to receive text messages is specific to Awakened Health Academy and is not transferable to, or usable by, any other organization or program.

Log Files

Awakened Health Academy follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit our website. The information collected includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamps, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This log data is used only in aggregate for analyzing trends and administering the site. We do not use log files to identify individual visitors, and log file data is never combined with your phone number or text messaging information.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like most websites, we use cookies. Cookies store information such as visitors’ preferences and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. This information is used to optimize your experience by customizing our web page content based on your browser type and other settings. Cookies relate only to your website browsing activity. They do not collect your phone number, and no cookie or web-beacon data is ever linked to your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information.

Website Analytics and Advertising

We may use analytics tools to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use our website.

We may also use third-party advertising services, ad networks, or retargeting technologies (such as advertising pixels) on our website. Where we do, these services may collect website browsing data — such as pages visited and cookie and browser identifiers — to show you relevant ads on other websites. Analytics and advertising data relates only to your website browsing activity. It does not include, and is never linked to, your phone number or any text messaging or SMS opt-in data, and no mobile information (your phone number, SMS opt-in data, and text messaging information) is ever shared with advertising partners for any purpose. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to other websites; we advise you to consult the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.

Your California Privacy Rights

To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, applies to us, California residents have the following rights:

  • Right to know. Request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete. Request that we delete personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to correct. Request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. If we use advertising or retargeting technologies on our website, browsing data may be “shared” for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. Your phone number, SMS opt-in data, and messaging consent are never sold, and never shared for cross-context behavioral advertising or any marketing purpose (they are disclosed only to the text messaging service providers who deliver your messages, as described in the SMS section above).
  • Right to non-discrimination. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

If you make a request, we will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days as required by the CCPA (we may extend once by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, and will notify you of any extension). We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
